The Superman Homepage has a higher quality copy of the photos:

They've also been trying to contact him for an interview.  But he's now 91 years old and his health care person says he's not up for it.  At this point in his life, I don't think he's out to mislead anyone.

"The bottom line involves choices.  Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever.  Good or evil, they are bound to choose.  And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us.  As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose.  If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be?  As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer."   - Jack Kirby

Thanks for the updated link.... I could buy the "alternate character show" idea, but it sure looks like Clark Kent in that first picture.  Maybe he auditioned once?  Maybe at his age, his mind and memories are foggy....

Cool pics, though!

Well, being really old doesn't necessarily make you honest, either.

But giving the guy the benefit of the doubt, I think he's just confused.  I still like the theory that he stumbled into a plot to violate DC's copyright with a knock-off "Superman" produced by a company other than DC/National.

It's also possible he just doesn't know the difference between Superman, Captain Marvel and Captain Nice.  Not everyone's as into superheroes as we are, you know.  To my grandma, they all look alike.
