Spoiler Warning....

Inside the Fortress, General Zod, Ursa, and Non play a history crystal which recounts the Phantom Zone's discovery and Kryptonian criminal activities. The following criminals are introduced with a brief synopsis for their banishment: 1) Jax-Ur, 2) Quex-Ul, 3) Tor-An, 4) Nadira Va-Dim, 5) Az-Rel, and 6) General Zod and cohorts.

General Zod, infuriated by Jor-El's record of history, smashes history crystals while vehemently reasoning Jor-El knew of Non's lobotomization (and did nothing). The Three Criminals walk through the Fortress and discuss Superman's apparent sentimentality while heading toward the Projector Room. Inside, they quip about Mon-El's captivity and tease part of their plan for the Phantom Zone.

With the Daily Planet buzzing: "Super-Baby's Abduction" everywhere, Clark and Lois are about to introduce a bespectacled "Christopher" as a Kent...or Lane when they run into Jimmy. Before Jimmy is able to take another photo, his camera is atomized by heat vision. Suddenly, two more sets of heat vision penetrate through Planet widows. As reporters scatter from the blasts, Jimmy uses his Super-Watch, signaling Superman. Clark tells Lois and "Chris" to take the stairs as he's going to put a stop to....

Superman is drop kicked into Metropolis Park by Non. Superman throws a punch at Non dislodging one of Non's teeth. However, Non forces Superman to bow as Zod hovers above. Zod gives a short speech about Kal-El's apparent forsaking of Kryptonian heritage while embracing Earth's culture. Superman knows it's Zod and tells him he's studied Kryptonian history archives and recognizes Kryptonian criminal uniforms. At this revelation, an angered Zod punts Superman like a football; reiterating, "we are not criminals".

Meanwhile, Lois and "Christopher" are stopped by Ursa.  Clutching Lois, "Christopher" pleads how he doesn't want to go.  Ursa reveals "Christopher" is Lor-Zod, her son, and they want him back.  Outside, General Zod and Superman continue to duel with fists and words over Kryptonian heritage. On the stairs, Ursa uses heat vision on Lois' arms, releasing Lor-Zod. Then, Ursa "flicks" Lois knocking her unconscious. Ursa and Lor-Zod fly away as he yells, "Superman help!"

Generals Zod's plan is revealed as he will recreate Krypton on Earth by releasing all the Phantom Zone criminals. Superman breaks off trying to save people from the falling Phantom Zone ships. Before he can deflect one module, a Kryptonian breaks out, "free, Jax-Ur is free" forcing Superman into the pavement. With Phantom Zone villains flying in the skyline, General Zod reiterates how he will save Krypton and zaps Superman with a Phantom Zone projector. Superman is shown locked within the Zone.

Nice plot synopsis - has this issue even come out yet?  I was in the comic shop last weekend and didn't see it.

"The bottom line involves choices.  Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever.  Good or evil, they are bound to choose.  And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us.  As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose.  If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be?  As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer."   - Jack Kirby
