Barry has been living on an alternate Earth with Wally (and his family) and an alternate Jay Garrick.

The rumors, apparently, are that this "alternate world" is the Pre-Crisis Earth 2, or a version of it where the Crisis never happened (and it's still the 80s).

Sounds like a place I'd like to live myself.  Well, except for the 80s part.  Cheesy

I am beginning to believe, DC created a new multiverse from pieces of the old with some additions. While "Earth-2" was spoiled back in Justice League of America #0, the Wildstorm Universe was definitely added via Ion and Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters perhaps is another New Earth. USatFF #8 discusses Shadow Demons and what is to come, probably another big event. I am unsure if this series is set in the current DCU. Of course, I am not sure any series is set in one universe or continuity. For all we know, Superman and Action Comics take place on different earths.

All I know is they better bring Earth 2 Superman back.  They gave us a teaser when they brought him back in IC.

Then they killed him?

What?

The Earth-2 Superman would make a great addition to the JSA. He could easily be brought back, too. All DC needs to do is say he was in a coma; New Earth scientists would know little about an Earth-2 Kryptonian's DNA, even Power Girl's was constantly changing.

Personally, I'd like to see an alternate Earth-Prime, one where the Crisis never happened. You could either have an adult Superboy-Prime in the present, or a Superboy-Prime just starting out. If it's the former, you could have this Superboy-Prime meet the current Legion...or his other self. Kurt Busiek would be a good writer for this series (if the idea still interested him).

Many people want others to accept their opinions as fact. If enough people accept them as fact then it gives the initial person or persons a feeling of power. This is why people will constantly talk about something they hate—they want others to feel the same way. It matters to them that others perceive things the same way that they do.

I'd rather the Earth-2 Superman stay dead so we can move onward.

i agree with vic, no ones saying that E-2 superman wasnt a great character, and yeah his ending was kind of lousy, but id like to see him become more like Barry Allen  was before Infinite Crisis (a dead as dead martyr hero, with some reappeances because lets face it they will happen, but nothing major)
