With super-senses and super-speed, he flies a million miles away and engages in ethnic cleansing with his heat vision before the infidel kryptonite bullets get an inch away from the barrel.  "Burn", the jihadi Superman said, just after praying to Rao, the one true god.

...

Yeah, I gotta go with nightwing on this one.  At least if you're going to do a perverse mockery (e.g. Ennis' "The Pro"), be at least somewhat funny.

I almost feel like closing this thread and deleting it since I rather not give this type of crap any publicity.

What do you guys think?

sure, I'd much rather have a discussion about why it should be closed, I guess.  For instance, is the message so potent that innocent superman fans will be instantly persuaded to the minority socialist opinions of an Argentine cartoonist?  Is he that good?  Or is it more important to highlight something that you feel strongly about and give counter-arguments.  In other words, is it better to ignore the "crap" in the world or mitigate against it?

I posted the link because I'm fascinated by all uses of Superman as a nationalist superhero and symbol of the U.S.  For my part, while I probably share many of the cartoonist's views on U.S. foreign policy, I would stop long before making Iraqi snipers into heroic figures.

I see this sort of thing being compared to the comics of Frank Miller by future students.

Why do I share many of the cartoonist's views on U.S. foreign policy, as Telle said?

Because we're supposed to be the GOOD GUYS.
