I think they killed this character again recently, but now you can read his origin story online.  Reading this, he seems better even than Batman.

You can't help liking a character who becomes a superhero out of ennui. Why didn't he go into politics?

a politician who got into the game for ennui? well i guess poltiicans are supposed to have passion (but then again so are heroes..)

btw, you notice how easy it is to find comics online these days in journals and such like? its pretty gosh darn fun
