The "baby", as you say, is Genius Jones

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genius_Jones

From the article:

Finally given a dime from everyone involved in the messed-up skirmish, he reveals to be aware of the fourth wall, cryptically talking about the commercial wars between Marvel Comics and DC Comics, and how both editors, the Architects had to reboot or modify their respective fictional worlds to increase sales. He then sent Thirteen reasoning with the Architects about the role of the returned characters in the Post-Infinite Crisis world.

That is a poorly written article! Too much of the comics articles on Wiki --especially articles based on current comics-- have way too much meandering plot summary.  It reminds me of people I knew in junior high who would recount comic book and movie plots in realtime, using a "and then x happened and then y happened and then a said to b" formula.

So I looked him up and Azzarello is a crime writer (100 Bullets) with a quirky bent who's done turns on Batman and a weird run on Hellblazer.

Azzarello wrote Superman For Tomorrow with pencils by Jim Lee and Lex Luthor Man of Steel. Not the best Superman stories I've read but certainly not the worst.

Telle, if you feel that way, you should rewrite them...Wikipedia lets you do that, you know.

I agree that it's not well written, but at least someone took the time to write something and I am appreciative of that

The Doctor 13 mini-series in the back of Tales of the Unexpected is making direct reference to the fact that certain characters in the DC Universe are routinely written out of continuity due to the writer's whims.  Not exactly what I expected a Doctor 13 mini to be about, but it was fairly entertaining.

Don't get me wrong --I appreciate that the article is there as well,  That is the value of Wiki: at least there is some info online about everything I need to know.  I've written and re-written many articles on Wikipedia myself, but I usually like to know something about the subject before I do.  The article needs a general editorial cleanup and lots of cutting, but without having the actual stories in fron of me, I can't really say what needs to be left in and what needs to be cut (ie, what is essential for an understanding of plot and character, and what isn't).  The comics team on Wiki has lots of specialists for both --I'm sure someone will get around to it.

One of the funniest things about Wikipedia, and one that is often remarked on, is that there are almost as many minor comics-related articles as there are articles about say, American historical figures or characters from American fiction.  I remember reading the biography of Quicksilver (yes, I'm a nerd) and it was longer than the entry for Pierre Trudeau, Prime Minister of Canada for 2 decades and one of the most important figures in Canadian history. (Trudeau's appearance in Alpha Flight was not mentioned in his bio).

It says something that Pamela Anderson's entry is longer by far than that of Emmeline Pankhurst.
