Anyone remember "GRIT"?  Had some kid with a carrier's bag holding up a wad of dollars?  I have a graphical need for that image and wondering if someone can point me to a good quality scan of it.

Those old comic ads were great.  You just **knew** they were a rip-off, even as a ignorant child, but those x-ray specs and onion gum was just too tempting to pass by.  Chicks really dug the "modocrylic,"  too.

This is more or less the ad I remember, haven't seen a high quality scan of it anywhere...

Thanks.  Now the big questions:  Did anyone ever sell GRIT?  Did anyone ever **read** GRIT?  What the heck was **in** GRIT??

"a magazine that celebrates such remarkable qualities as character, pluck and perseverance..."

Looks like the kind of thing that Clark Kent might read.

"The bottom line involves choices.  Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever.  Good or evil, they are bound to choose.  And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us.  As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose.  If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be?  As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer."   - Jack Kirby
