Administrator's note: this thread has been split from this one.

As a tangent to this, has (Silver Age) Superman ever found himself in a mirror or parallel universe, possibly meeting a "good Luthor"?

The Luthor from Earth-3 was a Superhero as was his son, well until you know who got a hold of him.

>The Luthor from Earth-3 was a Superhero as was his son, well until you know who But this didn't involve Silver Age Superman? Possibly a bit surprsing since around this time Start Trek was taking off and Kirk et al get transported toi a mirror universe. Did Superman ever meet his mirror image?

What ever happened to Super Monkey? It seems only Krypto was the only super pet taken seriously?

Am I right in thinking that Super Horse was differetm from the opther animals introduced, in that he had a different origin compared with the otheres?

Yep. You should check out Supermanica, its got a lot of this info.

COMET THE SUPERHORSE

In a lot of ways, Comet is probably one of the most powerful DC characters.

Yes, you are correct. DC did bring back a rather Iron Age take on Comet that looked nothing like the real one, and I believe there was a streaky like cat introduce with no superpowers whatsoever (more Iron Age "fun"). DC did show many a monkey with a Supersuit as tributes but never the real Beppo.

According to his Supermanica entry, Beppo's last canonical appearance was in 1969 - did he really make no appearance in the 70s? I sort of thought he had, but can't actually think of one offhand; maybe I just read a reprint or something.

Could Adventure Comics #394 June 1970) be his last app before Animal Man?

As I understand it, both Krypto and Beppo originated on Krypton (while Comet comes from Greek history and Streaky got his superpowers from X-kryptonite).

Beppo seems to be introduced with the suggestion that he was an experimental monkey. Was he actually seen in any stories set on Krypton? Or monkey's in general?
