New Earth-15 Superman is General Zod. No, I am not kidding.  Black costumed Superman is probably Superman Prime. Isn't it lovely how New Earth-15 Superman is impaled, his pregnant wife is burned alive, and a helpless Lex Luthor is burned up in space. This is not your granddaddy's multiverse.

Another criticism, check out the foreshortening on Luthor's leg(s), sheesh.

I note that Superman-Prime (if that's who the fellow in black is) kills Luthor the same way Miracleman killed his arch-enemy Gargunza, by taking him up into the stratosphere. Miracleman threw him back to earth and he burned up on re-entry, but it's basically the same idea.
