I've said it before and I'll say it again:  The way to do a Superman movie is CGI for all the glorious Curt Swan characters and the Wayne Boring locales.

That's how the new Tintin movie is being done.  CGI motion-capture faithful to the Hergé characters.

Yup, and you can make him 30-something like he's supposed to be, and never worry about an actor "aging" out for the sequels.
