The first thing I saw was this cover at a distance, which scared me a bit.  I was thinking "they didn't do a Bluperman Retroactive from the 90s, did they?"  Then I moved in closer and saw it was the Superman from the Batman Beyond-verse, done by the creative team involved with May Parker Spider-Girl (which was some of the best Spidey comics of the past 10-15 years).  Cool!

Overall, it's a good story, worth checking out.  You don't need to be well-versed in Batman Beyond to be entertained -- just think of it as an Elseworlds.  I  loved the little scene with Jimmy Olsen's signal-watch ring-tone, and the ending banter with Batman.  Schway.  Smiley

This title is getting a lot of positive word of mouth.

Picked it up yesterday.  As much as I'd been looking forward to the issue, I was surprisingly underwhelmed by the story and the artwork.

The big highlight for me was the preview from the new Teen Titans graphic novel, reuniting Wolfman and Perez for a  Teen Titans tale set during their tenure, with all the old characters and settings.  The artwork was gorgeous and the story looked pretty good.

Reminded me of why I got into comics in the first place.

"The bottom line involves choices.  Neither gods nor humans have ever stood calmly in a minefield forever.  Good or evil, they are bound to choose.  And when they do, you will see the truth of all that motivates us.  As a thinking being, you have the obligation to choose.  If the fate of all mankind were in your hands, what would your decision be?  As a writer and an artist, I've drawn my answer."   - Jack Kirby
