Adventures of Superman first went on the air in early 1953, approximately 50 years ago.

50 years. Man I'm beginning to feel old. I've got a copy of Gary Grossman's Superman From Serial to Cereal that I got back in college 25 years ago. I remember thinking it had been a real long time since the show then.  I wish TV Land would run the show sometime other than 3 AM

The longest running show has to I love Lucy.

Superman connection would be the classic appearance of George Reeves as Superman in Little Ricky's Birthday.
