Either way, it's pretty cool.
There was a lot about this issue that I liked, Linda's experiences in the alternate universe were great. I'm very impressed with what Peter David has done here. I've been a long time critic of his writing on
Supergirl, but he's managed to take what started as a blob of protoplasm, and create a living, breathing character that I care about. And this one issue gives Linda an incredible amount of depth and (positive) experience.
I also liked seeing a young, inexperienced Kara talk down Rebel. That was fun.
It kind of shows that, in some ways, the universe makes the character. Both Linda and Kara grew in very different directions from where they used to be while each in their different universes.
I really like Linda's (Superwoman's?) new costume, too. The white top reminds me a bit of Power Girl. I hope that Ariella survives the looming crisis, and I wonder if there's any connection between her and Cir-El.
But boy, talk about a misleading cover! Especially when it will most likely be Kara who dies...
