Hiya,

I have the reprint of the first appearence of Ultraman and the Crime Syndicate. I also have the DC Comics presents featuring Superman and Earth 2 Superman.

Were there any other Earth 3 stories? I mean in between, because the DCCP story happened many years after the first earth 3 story and established Luthor as that Earth's only hero.

Thanks

If you are only looking for  the "Earth-3" stories that happened in between those two, there weren't many.

The CSA finally returned in SECRET SOCIETY OF SUPER-VILLAINS #14-15 around 1978. Only Superwoman, Evil Johnny Quick and Power Ring appeared in that story, with no explanation of what happened to Ultraman or Owlman... but #15 did reveal that there was a Lois Lane on Earth-3.

Around the same time of DCCP ANNUAL #1 there was also a one-panel appearance of Earth-3 with a couple of the Crime Syndicate in WONDER WOMAN #292, when someone was describing the multiple Earths.... and there was a massive crossover in JLA #207-209 and ALL-STAR SQUADRON #14-15, where the full CSA returned and fought the Justice League, Justice Society and All-Star Squadron in a big time-travel adventure. I'm not sure of the chronology there but they were all roughly the same year.  1982 was a good year for the Syndicate.

By the way, Earth-3 ALMOST first appeared at the end of the JLA/JSA crossover in JLA #21-22, when the villains tried to escape there... but the readers didn't get to actually see it yet.

All-Star Squadron #15 (November 1982): "Crisis on Earth Prime, Book Four: Master of Worlds and Time"

So the character appeared first in 1964 and then not again until 1982. He then sticks around in various stories for the rest of the 80's until the Crisis.
