Super Powers Superman 1984

Easily the best action figure ever made. It's an excellent sculpt , the best likeness I have seen. The cloth cape was awesome and so much better looking than any that has been made since.  The Kenner Super Powers line was ahead of it's time. The Heros and Villains really looked like they jumped straight out of the Comic Books. It's a shame the line ended so early. It would have been nice if other characters had been adapted to it. The only thing I didn't like about the Super Powers Super Man was the packaging. Superman's action feature was labeled "Power Action Punch" It should have been labeled "Power Action Super Punch"  Captain Marvel had a Thunder Punch and Batman had a Bat Punch yet Superman had a only a "Punch" . Superman is the most powerful of all Superheros and he deserves more than a mere Punch.    It's a very small gripe   The action features were a lot of fun and something that had never been tried before up to that point . I wore out the action features with most of my figures.

Behold the Supermobile! This one kind of makes sense since it's suppose to "Shield Superman from Kryptonite"

But...

The supermobile was practical. Like you said it was supposed to protect from harmful Kryptonite rays. It featured the Kryptonite ram and you could capture the enemies by sticking their hand in the holes underneath it.  You are right , the other vehicle made no sense for the Superman figure. It should have been advertised with another figure like Cyborg.

I loved that series!  I had the majority of 'em, but sold 'em a few years back.  I've since bought them again, but I really wish I hadn't gotten rid of them in the FIRST place!    

They maintain a place of honor on the first shelf of one of my book shelves here at home.
