need to be brought up to date
Assume kara is supergirls original personilty from Argo City
Linda Danvers is her earth adopted identity
 but who is Cir_El then?
are you saying there are different persons or 32 different identies now I'm confused hadn't been involved with comics for 25 years saw the Saw the Supergirl Movie but Kara and Linda Danvers were still her other aliases

You're right.   "Linda Danvers" is Kara's alter-ego.

The thing is, there's now a second Linda Danvers, who isn't Kryptonian, and the first Supergirl is now generally just called "Kara Zor-El" because if she was still called "Linda," people wouldn't know which Linda you're talking about.

But since the 2nd Linda is now in continuity limbo, she's probably going to be forgotten in fairly short order.

That's Kara on the left and Linda II on the right.

Cir-El's origin is still a mystery, but it looks like she's Superman's daughter from an alternate future.

At the risk of sounding the lech, if Cir-El is Lois and Clark's daughter, the Kent family has some mighty fine genes. . .*leers*

Of course, I pity the poor fool who asks her out on a date. :p

Kara.

Peter David's Supergirl stories were cool but it didn't feel like Supergirl. Plus, the artists made Supergirl to much of a woman  , which in most cases detracts from the story.

My vote is for Kara Zor-El. However my personal favorite is Kara In-Ze from Superman the animated series. It really got under my skin when they just slapped her costume onto Linda.

One point in Cir-Els favor though, I have to admit the idea of a brunette Supergirl aint bad...  Cool

I gotta agree with Defender. Cir-El certainly is a knockout. But nevertheless, I voted for Kara.
